The Traveling Sketchbook Project
Students participated in The Traveling Sketchbook Project. The Traveling Sketchbook Project is a project started by art teacher Raquel Baez at the the Carol Morgan School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Ms. Baez sends a sketchbook full of her students' artworks to schools across the world. Participating schools then add their own artworks into the sketchbook and send back the sketchbook. Carol Morgan School will then display the sketchbooks with the artworks they have received from around the world. It was exciting for our Ginter Park students, Khamaya in 5th grade and Malena in 4th grade to be able to include their artwork in the sketchbook. The sketchbook has been mailed back to the school.
