President Barack Obama on the Arts
"The arts are what makes life worth living. You've got food, you've got shelter, yeah. But the things that make you laugh, make you cry, make you connect - make you love are communicated through the arts. They aren't extras." - President Barack Obama
Welcome back to another awesome year here at Ginter Park Elementary. What an exciting time for our school. We have our 100th anniversary this year! I am very much looking forward to teaching all students, Kindergarten through 5th grades, art.
Currently, we have a student teacher from VCU Art Education department, Ms. Brady. She is learning to be an art teacher and will be with us until October 16th. She is very excited to be here and working with our students.
Please remember to get your art rules signed and returned. Please, also remember to bring in a package of baby or wet wipes to help keep hands clean as there is not enough time for each student to wash his or her hands at the sink during one class period.
Let's have a great year at Ginter Park Elementary School! Check back often for more Ginter Park art updates :)
